About
The Ukrainian Club of Abbotsford Association (UCAA) is a newly formed organization (2010), with roots dating back to 1979 with the Fraser Valley Ukrainian Cultural Society (FVCUS). UCAA is one of several similar organizations in B.C. which are commited to the preservation, development, and enhancement of the Ukrainian culture as part of Canada's mulitcutural heritage.
Through its sponsorship of the Yevshan Ukrainian Dancers, with their colourful costumes and energetic performances, it's involvement in important Canadian celebrations such as the annual Canada Day celebrations, through Malanka (Ukrainian New Years Celebration), through its monthly frozen food sales at the local farmers market, and through its various cultural workshops, UCAA will continue to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to its mission.
The meetings for the UCAA generally take place on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at Trinity United Church on George Ferguson Way in Abbotsford. Anyone interested in Ukrainian heitage is invited to attend.
